Integrating data analytics, optimisation and dynamic control to support energy services has seen significant interest in recent years. Larger appliances used an industry context are now provided with Internet of Things (IoT)-based interfaces that can be remotely monitored, some also actuation interfaces. The combined use IoT edge computing enables connectivity between systems infrastructure, providing the means implement both efficiency/optimisation cost reduction strategies. We investigate economic implications harnessing edge/cloud technologies management for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning) buildings.
